Of French origin, Brioche buns are a light bread, high in butter and egg content. Golden in colour, Brioche has a flaky crust that is often brushed with an egg wash during the latter stage of baking. Whilst it is baked in much the same way as other bread products, Brioche has a rich pastry quality, due to the addition of extra eggs, butter and milk or cream.
